On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?
When I started reading, I thought it was a good book. it has a great story, every character is being represented in a funny way,... Until more and more mysteries come out and you get to know how a woman can turn mad :)
I won't tell you that much about the content of the book because I might reveal too much information...
I can definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves reading thrillers. It's a fresh and new story, never read something like this before. It was the book of the year 2013 (Bought it then, but didn't have the time to read it yet till now)
If you're still looking for a good book for this summer to go on vacation or just to relax in the garden, at the seaside,... this is your book!
