Hi sweeties!

Today I want to share the newest product from the Aveda hair care treatments with you:
Smooth Infusion Nourishing Styling Creme

Now I know what you might be thinking. So many words in just one product name?
Let me tell you a little bit more about this little wonder, so you all can start putting it on your beauty wishlist, haha!

about

This is what it does:
- It nourishes and softens frizzed hair without making it heavy (we all know that terrible feeling, right?)
- It protects your hair against all kinds of humidity
- It gives you silky hair that moves easily
This is what it actually contains:
- A mix of cupuaçu and shea butter which form a barrier around each hair
- Aveda's plant infusion blend: mais, guarabean and organic aloë that make your hair silky
- UV and oryzanol filter to protect your hair from drying out because of the sun
VIP // Very Important Packaging
Aveda, "The art and science of pure flowers and plant essences"
Their products are all based on nature's best ingredients brought together.
That's why it's important to use as much recycled material as possible. This bottle contains 75% recycled HDPE and bioplastic.
I'm loving the product even more right now.

the creme

The cream itself is very smooth. As I massage it onto my hand, it really nourishes and feeds my skin, leaving a little oily effect (which I like, because my hair really needs that).
It has a fresh citrus scent at first and after that you can smell a rose/sandalwood flowerish kind of undertone. The scent leaves a fresh and healthy feeling.

my opinion

So now that I've summed up all of these aspects about this creme, you might think. Yeah right! So that's why I actually tried it out for about 2 weeks, so you can see the results.
Below, you can find my before and after.

When it comes to hair, I think I'm quite the lazy person. I wash my hair, put some serum onto my hairpoints and I let it dry naturally. Nothing complicated about that :)
When it's dry, I usually style it with some pret-a-powder.

With the Aveda cream, things don't get that much more complicated. The only thing you have to do after washing your hair is apply a "good portion" on your hair. I always start in the middle of my length and go down. Because otherwise, my hair gets greasy immediately.

First reaction? My hair looks very flat. Even when it's still wet. I like the feeling it gives my hair. It just feels healthy. I know how stupid that sounds, but it really does.

I'm amazed about the "just-came-back-from-the-hairdresser" effect it gives to my hair! It feels so shiny, silky and it kind of moves like the hair from the hair commercials haha!
It really looks SUPER healthy as you can see below:

before

My hair looks a bit dry. I always have a lot of tangles and I ruin my hair while trying to get rid of them (even with a Tangle Teezer!)
My hair really needs to be nourished eveytime I wash it and now my solution was to put serum onto the points, which isn't enough.
It's just something I realized just now, after using the Smooth Infusion Nourishing Creme...
Hairdressers always told me to use a hair mask every now and then, to feed my hair and not only the points.
But I found a new solution to that problem :)
Thanks Aveda!
Picture

after

You can see a very big difference!
My hair totally looks de-frizzed after using the Smooth Infusion Nourishing Creme! I can just feel my hair is healthy and it also feels like I just came back from the hairdresser.
You just notice you're using professional products when your hair looks like this.
I would totally recommend this product for girls who want straight hair without the frizz.
I'm very happy with this new product and I already integrated it into my beauty routine :)

Diorshow art pen

Tip
The art pen has a very thin tip, which makes the painting very easy. It's also super handy to make a winged eyeliner: stamp the tip in the corner of your eye, so you already have the line in the right place. Then fill in the blank space and you're finished!

Tip

The tip of the Kiko pen is a bit shorter than the one of the Dior pen. It makes it a bit harder to draw your line, but it stays easy pie.

Pigment
With this pen, I have to go over my line for around 2-3 times to really have a nice, black line.
When a apply eyeshadow under my liner, the pen picks up some of the powder and it gets harder to draw the line.

Pigment
This pen draws like crazy. It's probably the blackest black I've ever seen next to the thick Blockbuster pens I use for smokey effect.
I only need one line, but I always draw 2 times just in case haha :)

Lasting effect
The liner stays right where it has to be for around 5-6 hours, then it starts fading a little bit. Does the trick to me...
I always have some trouble in my inner corners because I touch my eyes sometimes.

Lasting effect
The line really stays black black black for around 6-8 hours.
It also has a slight waterproof effect when going into the water. It will not run out.
The inner corner trouble stays the same with this liner.

Points
9/10

conclusion

If you're a true artist and you can draw your liner like it's nothing, i totally recommend the Kiko Ultimate pen. It's very affordable and you can achieve the same results with it as with any other art pen.
If you're new to the eyeliner pen concept, I would start with a pen like the Dior art pen, because it's so easy to use. it's like it was made for beginners to practice (and definitely to try out the winged liner). There's a huge price difference though...
