Fake Up with Benefit Cosmetics

Benefit Cosmetics offers very good products in amazing packaging. This is why a lot of women love their products! I have seen a lot of their products through the years but never bought one of them. I don't know why but I always thought the packaging was a marketing trick to make me buy their makeup (ooooops).

But then, a few weeks ago, I was shopping at Sephora in Strasbourg and the ladies over there were so helpful! They told me the Fake Up dark circle concealer was very good. I tried it on in store and must say, I was amazed immediately.

I don't think this product is for everyone. Don't expect that the concealer will remove your dark circles like a magic wand or something, we all know that's impossible. Though I do think it's a good product to make you feel better. It gives me the feeling my eyes are more "fresh" after putting this on right after getting out of bed. I feel wide awake immediately. Second, it does hydrate my eyes very well. I can have these moments the skin under my eyes get very dry and this really helps!

About the coverage: this product only comes in 3 tones: light, medium & dark. I don't match any of these 3 tones. On the pictures below you can see I applied it on my hands and then blended it. After blending, it's quite okay. If you really want it to cover up your dark circles, try to blend less as possible.

After applying a good powder, it works very well. The one thing I did notice after a few hours is that my eye pencil fades faster. Normally, I can wear my eye pencil all day without any problems and now it really gets blurred out.

My advice: if you don't need a good coverage because you don't have such a dark circles, don't use it :)

Sephora Eau Micellaire

When shopping at Sephora, I always want to take something with me because we don't have it in Belgium :D sometimes, I come home with stuff I really don't need but I couldn't leave the store with empty hands!

So last week I was shopping at Lille, where they have a Sephora, and my good friend Chloé told me the "eau micellaire" makeup remover is very good. So that's the little Sephora extra I took home this time.

Eau Micellaire by Sephora is one of my new favorite skincare products! I love how soft it makes my skin feel and it smells really good :) So no redundant purchase this time ;)

I have acne prone skin and I'm always quite scared to try out new makeup removing or hydrating products. Only if I read a review about a product from someone who also has acne prone skin and is really satisfied, I would consider to actually buy the product.

The bottle is very easy to use. It works like some nail polish remover bottles where you just have to put your cotton pad on top, press, and the product pops out like a little miracle!

I don't know ANY makeup remover that removes ALL of your makeup... and neither does this one. But I still love it :)
I once reveived an "eau micellaire" from the brand Bioderma in my Deauty box and I liked it, but I wasn't blown away by it despite of all the positive things girls say about it. This one is just BETTER. It smells better, removes better and leaves my skin very soft while the Bioderma didn't do anything hydrating to my skin.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is still looking for a good makeup remover on a budget? You can find this bottle of 400ml at Sephora for € 13,95. I think that's a very fair price for what you get!

KIKO Detoxifying Scrub

As you might have already seen on my Instagram, I had a great shopping time at Lille this weekend. The great thing about this city is that is only a 40 minutes drive from my parent's place and they have a lot of stores & brands we can't find in Belgium!

Of course I had to place a visit in the Kiko-store :) And NO, I did not buy new nail laquer (PROUD) haha!

My weakness with cosmetics is that I can fall in love with the package very easily. And that's what happened with this scrub. I really loved the colours and especially the colour of the scrub itself. There were 2 different scents, but there was only one sample displayed and that was the one I took home with me.

The scent is AMAZING. It makes me think of my "étoile de rem" body lotion. So very summerish :)

The scrub has this weird but good texture. It's quite elastic.

When I buy a scrub, I usually go to The Body Shop or Rituals because you know you will get good quality scrubs. With this scrub it was a big question mark.

The good thing about the scrub from "The Body Shop" is that it scrubs quite roughly and hydrates at the same time. This scrub also hydrates very well, though the scrub itself is a bit more mild. So very suitable for people with sensitive skin.

After scrubbing myself, I felt really fragranced and fresh. The scent really gets into your skin (like a body spray). It really does the trick!
For its price, this is a very good scrub! If we had a KIKO in Belgium, I would definitely repurchase this one :) (maybe I'll do that online)

SHOP IT HERE €13,90
